It's important to remind your man that you are looking through these bridal magazines for his benefit – you're getting ideas to create a wonderful wedding for the two of you. Use this excuse even if it isn't true, because we likely won't know the difference.

Also remember that we've probably just spent a lot of moolah on an engagement ring so we're feeling unusually frugal. Our worries about the cost of the bridal magazines aren't a personal attack – we're trying to figure out if we can go the next several decades without paying for “luxuries” like heat and shampoo.
